Working on two neighbouring properties at the same time allowed us to create cohesive, yet distinct outdoor spaces that reflect each homeowner’s style while adding serious value and function.
Backyard: From Bare to Breathtaking
The original backyard featured patchy grass, a basic shed, and a wooden pergola over pavers that felt incomplete. Our goal was to turn this underutilized yard into a space that invites relaxation, entertaining, and everyday beauty.

- Replaced the worn grass with decorative rock and hardy plantings for a low-maintenance, high-impact garden.
- Integrated large, natural stepping stones that guide guests through a lush bed of flowering perennials and ornamental grasses.
- Created a circular paver patio anchored with comfortable outdoor seating and a swinging chair—perfect for enjoying a summer evening.
- Enhanced the existing pergola with a BBQ zone and built-in bar area, blending function and charm for outdoor hosting.

The front yard also saw a major overhaul. Originally sparse and grassy, it now boasts a modern, xeriscape-inspired look that complements the home’s exterior and makes a strong first impression.
