We are looking for hard working, committed individuals to fill multiple BDM roles as we grow within the community. We employ both seasonal employees as well as full time roles. We are the go to landscape company in Winnipeg with 9 years of stable growth, seeding our capabilities within the community we are a part of. The demand for our services has given us the opportunity to support others with full time employment in the Business Development Manager Role.
What will I do?
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a sole contributor, field sales role, responsible for prospecting by phone, email and in-person meetings with prospective landscape clients for both residential and commercial projects. There will also be organic leads that will be delegated to you to ensure prospective clients receive world class service. You will be the primary contact for customer decision-makers and responsible for the full sales process. This is a hunter/gatherer role. Following the award of a sales contract, you will work closely with the Operations Manager and Team Leads to ensure efficient job communication and completion.
This is an excellent opportunity if you are confident approaching and engaging with potential residential and business customers. You have a solution sales approach and excel in research, lead generation and delivering convincing sales presentations to close new customers. You are competitive, competent in calculations and measurement, organized, focused and enjoy the challenge of creating win/win solutions.
What qualifications do I need?
Post-secondary degree or diploma in a business or marketing related discipline
Minimum of 3-5 years validated sales success in an outside (field) B2C sales role with a deep understanding of consultative selling and sales planning
Strong knowledge of prospecting and sales process.
Experience with, or ability to learn, and utilize, a complex pricing, order and sales tracking database tool
Confident speaking and delivering compelling sales presentations to all types of customers
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport with potential customers
Strong negotiation skills and closing ability
Ability to function independently with little or no supervision as well as function in a team environment
Able to handle multiple priorities through effective organization and time management skills
Local market knowledge with established business connections as well as proven networking skills to help you to succeed
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video presentations and CRM tools is required
Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
